2016 Year in Review: Josh Friedman's Photographs

As 2016 winds down, I've chosen 30 of my personal favorites from the past 12 months in the following "year in review."  As always, thanks to my wonderful wife, Cynthia, for helping me to whittle down the list. In addition to many photographs our our beautiful home region (Bucks County, Pennsylvania), I have images from Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, in Wyoming (if you are interested in seeing more images from that trip, click HERE), and a few great American Cities (New York, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh).

I'm always curious to hear people's thoughts, reactions and individual favorites.  Thanks for looking, and best wishes for a happy, healthy and peaceful holiday season and new year.

  1. Hi Josh, enjoyed all your beautiful photos here & in your shop. Love the covered bridges & the wonderful Grand Teton photos. I miss PA's scenery, but not its cold weather. Great shots of Pittsburgh which is just 60+ miles from my hometown. Tell me does your Lake Afton have walleye? Those I really miss from Lake Erie & other places my grandpa used to fish for them ... best eating fish around. Happy Holidays!

    1. Hi Gerry. Thanks for looking and for your nice feedback. Its much appreciated. Our son is in college in Pittsburgh, so it has opened up a new area for me to photograph (loads of bridges!). Regarding Lake Afton, I'm really not sure what kind of fish like there. Each year I see folks fishing in the lake (really more of a pond), but I think they're mostly catching small fish, like perch. Best wishes for the holidays.

  2. Josh the only suggestion that I have would be to consider printing Trenton Makes on metal and putting it up for sale at ART ALL NIGHT. Your trip to Grand Tetons really paid off with some great imagery.

  3. Hi Josh, fantastic display of your work. I particularly like the covered bridges - which we don't seem to have here in the UK. The Cloister in Princeton University also caught my eye.

I've made a start on your steam engine: a canvas 30 inch x 20 inch. Will keep you posted.

Was there a USAF base at Yardley? I seem to remember flying into there in the 1960/70s' (might be thinking of Langley though ... old age!).
